Sharon Your Questions About Storm Doors Sears

Sharon asks…

my garage wont go up or down unless you press and hold the button. if u use the remote, it wont work at all.?

this has been happening every since we had a storm last week. The garage door is a Craftsman from Sears. sometimes when i try to use the remote, the lights in the garage will flash, but the doors wont go up or down.
i have a 2 car garage. the other garage door works fine. its just one of them that wont respond to the remote(the lights blink on and off). the same thing happens if you use the wireless keypad. you can use the up and down bottom inside of the garage but you must hold the button down until the door goes all the way down or all the way up or else it will stop and go in reverse. you cant just tap the button like normal.

Ken Your Questions About Security Storm Doors

Ken asks…

Denver metro, why the security storm doors on the home?

On a recent trip to the Denver area, I noticed that most of the front doors of houses in the area had security storm doors on them. For those who don’t know what I mean, it’s those storm doors on the outside of the main front door that are made of wrought iron and have a deadbolt lock on them. The reason I ask is because where I grew up (Chicagoland) and where I am now (DC area) those types of doors are reserved for the areas with the worst crime, think Gary, IN.
